Sources for locating people that are primarily on forums have been moved here. Forums are listed by source and type.
NOLA stands for New Orleans, LA, and the NOLA lists are maintained by the New Orleans Times-Picayune
newspaper. They have several lists:
NOLA I'm OK Forum list, generally a "safe" list.
NOLA Missing Persons Forum, a "missing" list.
NOLA Sound off List, a general discussion list.
NOLA In Memoriam List, to start to say goodbye.
Also available are the forums sponsored by the commercial site Hurrican Katrina Survivors. Please avoid donating from this site, however. I would recommend typing in the URL for the American Red Cross, or whatever other charity you want to support. That's why there are no links to charities on the PersonLinks website.

New Orleans TV Station 4WWLTV has an "I'm OK" List that is maintained and is alphabetical. It's hard to estimate numbers from the format; say about 12,000 names. Not all the entries are reports of survivors; some "I can make phone calls for you" messages are included.
